• 1. What is PointX?

  PointX is CHC Navigation's GNSS correction services portfolio, combining PointNet, a network RTK correction service delivered over the internet, and PointSky, an L-Band satellite-based correction service.

• 2. What is the difference between PointNet and PointSky?

  PointNet delivers RTK corrections over the internet or a cellular network using NTRIP. PointSky broadcasts corrections from L-Band satellites, so it keeps working where there is no reliable mobile network.

• 3. Do I need a local base station to use PointX?

  No. PointX provides GNSS corrections as a service, so in supported coverage areas you reach centimeter-level accuracy without your own local base station.

• 4. Which applications does PointX support?

  Surveying and mapping, construction and machine control, precision agriculture, and autonomy and robotics.

• 5. Is PointX a subscription RTK correction service?

  Yes. PointX is offered as a subscription RTK correction service, with plans based on the coverage and service level a project needs.
